Overview

A Singapore-based climate-tech startup approached Weiblocks with a mission to address the fundamental problems plaguing voluntary carbon markets: double-counting, fraud, lack of transparency, and limited accessibility. We designed and built Hestiya from scratch – a Web3-powered marketplace that tokenizes carbon credits and I-RECs (International Renewable Energy Certificates) on the Polygon blockchain, enabling spot trading, peer-to-peer transactions, and smart contract automation.

The result: a transparent, efficient carbon marketplace now hosting 70+ verified climate projects, with multiple project sellouts and growing market traction.

Tokenization also democratizes access – credits can be fractionalized, enabling smaller businesses and individuals to participate in carbon offsetting for the first time.

The platform supports multiple trading mechanisms: spot trading for instant settlement at market prices, peer-to-peer trading for direct buyer-seller negotiations, and smart contract automation for programmatic climate finance. Multi-wallet support enables seamless Web3 transactions while maintaining compliance with global carbon standards like Verra and Gold Standard.
